For such a simple recipe, these sure were a big hit! I simply took the regular classic Rice Krispies Treats recipe and added some Oreo pieces BUT I needed to add a bit more moisture since the Oreo pieces added more dryness so I increased the butter. You can also throw in some additional marshmallows if you have extra. One batch that I made of these, I probably added an extra 10 of the jumbo marshmallows and they turned out extra gooey. I bet these would also be good with Nutter Butter cookies or Fudge Covered Oreos! Kind of fun to play around with this simple recipe. You don't need to add the drizzled chocolate on top if you think it would be too much. I just thought it would look fancier! I cannot even tell you how many people were impressed with this recipe at my office. It was almost funny. They are literally and simply Rice Krispies Treats with Oreos stirred in. How easy can you get? And the kids LOVE them!

ReplyDeleteNever met an Oreo recipe that I didn't like. Can't wait to try this one!
ReplyDeleteThese look so good! I'm making them with soy margarine instead of butter since they're for a little boy who's allergic to dairy. They're cooling now!
