My kitties

I never even thought about posting photos of my cats but Palidor has so many cute photos of her kitties on her blog (Crazy Asian Gal) and she asked me to post a few of mine. So here they are! I'm so in love with both of my cats.

This is Oshi. She is 9 years old and drives me crazy. I call her Oshi Poshi and she insists on being petted at 2:00 am and about every 30 minutes after that. She licks me, paws me, nudges me, kneads on me - until I start petting her. My husband says I should just lock her out of our bedroom but I could NEVER do that to Oshi Poshi. This photo is Oshi napping underneath my down comforter on my bed.

This is Oshi outside by the garden. She is such a skinny wisp of a kitty. I think she weighs maybe 6 or 7 pounds. She doesn't care much about eating (I wish.)

This is Layla and she is about 6 years old. She is "daddy's girl". She sits on my husband's lap and he pets her for hours. She is not so skinny, like Oshi is. She has one of those big hanging down flabby bellys that swings when she runs. Even though she is "weight advantaged", she is a serious hunter as you can tell from the photo below.

Here is Layla on our back deck with her catch. The rat is already dead but she tossed that thing in the air for a good 20 minutes. She was flinging it everywhere! Then she stood guard of it as she placed it by our backdoor and meowed till we came and looked at what she caught for us! Yum! Dinner!

Here are both Oshi & Layla as they carefully and quietly watch a squirrel that's down by the tree. They closely watch and act really interested in squirrels but they know better. One time Oshi chased one and the squirrel turned and chased Oshi and tried to bite her. Both of the cats like to hunt. Among the wonderful treats they have brought us: snakes, rats, mice, chipmunks, lizards, all sorts of birds but luckily no rabbits. Our bunny of 11 years, Nilla, just died a few months ago. The kitties both loved Nilla and they knew that Nilla was definitely the dominate animal in the house. Nilla would growl at them until they left the room. So funny!

Oshi and Layla are soooooo adorable! That is TOO funny about Oshi and the squirrel. Misty is like Oshi in that she also wants to be cuddled and scratched at some ridiculous time in the early morning. But we must oblige, right?

Thank you so much for sharing your kitties with us! :-)
