Martha Stewart's Cupcakes - New Book!

It's always an exciting day when you get a new cook book. I work in a building downtown Seattle that has a Borders Books on the 1st floor. As I was wandering around in Borders on my break this morning, I spied "Martha Stewart's Cupcakes" - it's a new release! Wow! I ran upstairs to my office, downloaded a Border's 25% off coupon, ran back down to the bookstore and bought it. Now I'm finding it hard to concentrate on my work (I'm at work now and obviously not doing what I'm supposed to be doing since I'm now updating my blog AND reading Martha Stewart's Cupcakes!). But anyway, this book is so filled with exciting recipes. There is a lot of photos of cutely decorated cupcakes but I mainly wanted the book for the unique recipes. Yes, you can certainly find all of her cupcake recipes on her website but it's nice to have them all combined in a book. Some of the recipes that I'm anxious to try are: snickerdoodle cupcakes, lemon meringue cupcakes, black forest cupcakes, chocolate spice cupcakes, amaretto pineapple cupcakes, german chocolate cupcakes......oh my word, I could go on and on! I also own her cook book that is just cookie recipes and I've had much sucess with those recipe. Some of my favorite cookie recipes come from that book. I like the fact that she always includes many very basic traditional recipes but also includes some jazzy unique recipes. I'm not a big fan of her show or even her, but she has wonderful recipes and her photographs are very eye catching. I will have to blog again when I actually attempt on of these new cupcake recipes.

Let me know if any of you have also purchased this book and tell me your thoughts about it. Have you made any of the recipes?
